Rasha Aly
Rasha Aly is an expert editor and writer with nearly two decades of experience in journalism. She has written for well-known publications, including The Guardian and Business Insider.
She’s always been interested in any topic related to law. As a young girl, she imagined herself as Mrs. Encyclopedia Brown, and loved the thrill of playing detective and solving the mysteries she watched on the screen, before the show or movie ended. While she was a reporter at The Sandusky Register, an editor introduced her to the poker world. She enjoyed playing home games and even won a few tournaments while visiting Las Vegas.
Rasha always jokes she has ink running through her blood. She loves reporting and telling stories. She thrives on taking complicated topics and turning them into easy-to-read pieces for all readers to understand.
Her career highlights include working for The Sandusky Register and for The Desert Sun (California), where she wrote about multiple topics, from education to crime. She also led media strategy when she worked with the Taft Research Center, a local educational nonprofit.
After leaving journalism for a bit to work with domestic violence survivors and foster children, Rasha has returned to journalism, drawn back by the adrenaline rush of reporting the news, with the creation of her company, Badass Writing Services.
She gets excited writing about the law, gaming, entertainment, and interesting people. Her diverse background spans reporting, editing, copywriting, social media strategy, and SEO expertise.
In her free time, she enjoys reading thrillers, watching movies, and spending time with her hubby and three cats.
