ARB Interactive appointed Bryan P. Schroeder as general counsel and Steve Arthur as vice president of government affairs.

Social gaming company ARB Interactive is adding two experienced leaders to its front office: Bryan P. Schroeder will join as general counsel and Steve Arthur is coming in as vice-president of government affairs.

Patrick Fechtmeyer, Chief Executive Officer of ARB Interactive, glowed in his praise of the two executives.

“[Bryan’s] experience guiding organizations through rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes will be invaluable as ARB continues expanding our footprint and building the gold standard in social casino compliance,” Fechtmeyer said in a statement issued on Dec. 10.

Previously, Schroeder worked for Hard Rock Digital, Parx Casino, and Tipico North America. According to the statement from ARB, Schroeder has extensive experience with “oversaw multi-jurisdictional compliance programs, led major transactions, and managed legal functions supporting online gaming, casino operations, and new market launches” in his prior positions. Shroeder attended Seton Hall University School of Law.

Arthur brings a résumé steeped in political positions. After achieving a B.S. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, he worked in the United States Senate as a legislative aide before filling roles in the California state legislature. He served as California’s Assistant Secretary for Economic Development.

The simultaneous hiring of both a general counsel and a vice president of government affairs signals ARB’s commitment to building a compliance and advocacy infrastructure at a moment where operators and lawmakers are heading into a second year of legislation around sweepstake and social casinos.

Schroeder’s experience overseeing multi-jurisdictional compliance programs at Hard Rock Digital, Parx Casino, and Tipico North America directly addresses the patchwork of state regulations ARB will need to navigate as lawmakers introduce new legislation. His role will be crucial in managing the legal complexities of the PCH acquisition while ensuring compliance across different state frameworks.

“Steve has unmatched experience navigating state and federal policymaking, and his relationships with Attorneys General nationwide will be instrumental as ARB continues educating stakeholders about the social casino and sweepstakes ecosystems,” said Fechtmeyer.

Arthur’s political background positions him to advance ARB’s legislative strategy as states continue debating sweepstakes casino regulations. His relationships with attorneys general nationwide could prove instrumental as the company works to shape policy discussions around social casino and sweepstakes ecosystems.

Arthur most recently worked with Stateside Associates a lobbying group based in Virginia.
