PLAYSTUDIOS Still All In On Sweeps Plans, With ‘Win Zone’ Beta Live In 15 States

PLAYSTUDIOS’ new sweepstakes platform, Win Zone, is now in beta across 15 states, with plans for a full U.S. rollout by 2026.

PLAYSTUDIOS officials announced they’re planning to launch their new sweepstakes product, Win Zone, in all eligible states in the United States by 2026. This venture marks a strategic move by the company, a developer and publisher of free-to-play casual games.

The launch plan was confirmed during a Q3 highlights call with PLAYSTUDIOS executives last week.

Founded in July of 2011, the Las Vegas-based firm has found significant success in the mobile- and social-platform gaming industry before venturing into the world of sweepstakes casinos.

Most know PLAYSTUDIOS for its diverse portfolio of games, especially its casino-style games (such as myVEGAS Slots and myVEGAS Blackjack) and its classic games (like Solitaire and Tetris). As players enjoy and start winning their games, they earn Loyalty Points, which can be redeemed for real-world rewards.

PLAYSTUDIOS is a member of the Social Gaming Leadership Alliance, which consists of many of the heavy hitters in the sweeps industry, including VGW, which owns Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, and Global Poker.

Win Zone beta already live in 15 states

Chairman and CEO Andrew Pascal confirmed a beta version of the Win Zone sweepstakes has already opened in 15 states, including Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

“We started with a standalone web-based product to build capability,” Pascal said, “and over time, we’ll evolve it into a fully integrated promotional engine supporting chip sales across our casino portfolio, with selective strategic acquisitions as a potential accelerant.”

“As we refine the product, we’re seeing steady improvements across retention, engagement, and monetization, resulting in our highest returns on ad spend.”

Win Zone has already been steadily promoted on PLAYSTUDIOS platforms, including during the second annual myVIP World Series of Slots, which ran from Oct. 22-26.

‘Long-term opportunity’ despite rough 2025

However, the expansion comes as the sweepstakes market faces significant regulatory challenges. States are tightly regulating the industry, leading to bans and major restrictions that have reduced the Total Addressable Market (TAM) by roughly 25%.

States implementing restrictions this year include Montana, New Jersey, Connecticut, and California. New York has also passed a bill banning sweeps casinos, although it hasn’t been signed yet. Several other states, including Louisiana, West Virginia, and Arizona, have also sent out a series of cease-and-desist orders that have signaled to many operators that the market is off limits.

Despite the contraction, Pascal emphasized the strength of the remaining market, noting a viable addressable market of $3.5 billion to $4 billion. He stressed this allows the company to believe Win Zone has a “long-term opportunity” in those less-restricted states.
