✉️ Write Sweepstake Casino Letters

Updated: August 10, 2026

According to sweepstakes regulations, you can submit handwritten requests to claim free SC. We’ve covered the specific rules and instructions for 11 platforms, complete with pictures and expected wait times, to show you exactly how it’s done.

Please keep in mind that sweepstakes request instructions can change at any time. For the most up-to-date information, always read the official T&C’s at your preferred casino.

We do everything we can to regularly monitor and update the sweepstakes mail-in entry requirements to maintain accuracy but sometimes it’s not enough. The most recent update date is listed above. We strongly recommend that players review the official terms and conditions, as they are subject to change without notice.

Step-by-step guide to mailing in entries

As a legal protection for players, sweepstakes casinos are mandated to provide AMOE (alternative methods of promotional entry) for free SC.

Chumba has recently switched to online requests, but for the rest of the sites I’ve covered, you’ll need a pen, paper, and some postage. Here’s how the process works, minus the tinier details that vary from platform to platform:

  • Get started with a sweepstakes casino of your choice.
  • If necessary, click the appropriate link in the Sweepstakes Rules or follow the listed instructions to generate your unique postal code.
  • Write your request by hand and seal it inside a #10 envelope.
  • Mail each card to the required address.
  • You’ll know whether the casino has accepted your request in 4 - 6 weeks, but I’ve waited several months before hearing back from WOW Vegas and Chumba. Chumba has now streamlined its process, cutting your expected wait time down to approximately 12 hours.

Mail-in request card requirements

Each sweepstakes casino has its own specific requirements for submitting mail-in requests. The process is pretty straightforward once you’ve gotten the hang of it, but something as simple as a wrongly colored pen can tank your ability to claim free SC.

On the bright side, so long as you follow rules to the letter, you can submit an unlimited number of requests to claim as much free SC as your heart desires. I’ve discussed the ins and outs of submitting AMOE requests at 11 popular sweepstakes casinos:

Make sure you understand the terms

By and large, the process of writing sweeps requests is the same - you’ll need a request card, envelope, and appropriately colored pen no matter which site you choose. However, the listed instructions for each platform differ significantly.

Specificity is the caveat sweeps casinos use to trip players up. Something as inconsequential as an errant period, comma, or capital letter is enough to disqualify your letter entirely. Here are a few things to look for when submitting requests:

Request format

With the exception of Chumba, formatting doesn’t change much across sweepstakes platforms. You’ll need to include a Request Card (4” x 6”) that contains specific information. Then, you’ll have to place your card inside a stamped, #10 envelope and send it to the appropriate address.

Required information

As a general rule, your Request Card needs to include the following information written from the top-left corner down:

  • A unique Postal Request Code, if required
  • Your full name, as shown on your ID card
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your return address (must match your account and ID)
  • A specific statement provided in the Sweepstakes Rules

In some cases, you may be asked to provide additional information such as your mobile number (SweepShark) and the exact date and/or time when you wrote the request (Crown Coins, H5C, Legendz).

Regarding “sweepstakes declaration statements,” they change from site to site. They may also change without warning, which is why it’s a good idea to check the Sweeps Rules before writing. Exact wording, verbiage, capitalization, spelling, and grammar are necessary for valid requests.

For example, the statement at Crown Coins looks like this:

I am sending this card to obtain Sweepstakes Coins and to participate in the sweepstakes offered by Crown Coins Casino. I acknowledge that by sending this request, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Crown Coins Casino Terms of Service and Sweepstakes Policy”

Notice how there’s no Oxford comma between “understood” and “agree.” There’s also no period at the end of the statement. Finally, you need to include the quotation marks surrounding each statement in your Request Card.

Without exception, you can only include one request card per envelope. Your handwriting needs to be legible. If any part of the instructions aren’t followed, your mail-in request will be rejected.

Mailing requirements

Before you put your letter in the mail, make sure you’ve adhered to the following requirements:

  • You have to write all information on one side of the Request Card, beginning with your unique Postal Request Code (if necessary).
  • The Request Card needs to be a blank, white, and unlined piece of paper or index card. Size doesn’t always matter, but going with a 4” x 6” request slip is the safest method of doing business.
  • You must put your Request Card (only one!) inside a stamped, #10 envelope that is properly addressed. In some cases, you may need to write a phrase on the outside of the envelope, too.
  • Envelopes need to be sent to a specific address, which you can find in the Sweepstakes Rules. If your request has a one-time code, you have 25 - 60 days to make sure letters reach their destination, in most cases.
  • Sweeps casinos that accept participants from the US and Canada will require players to send requests to a different address, depending on their location.

Frequency and limitations

Even though you can only submit one request card per envelope, you can usually send an unlimited number of requests to your sweeps casino of choice. Notably, Chumba only allows players to submit one request per day.

All of the sweepstakes casinos promoted in this article use nearly identical language when describing the limitations (or lack thereof) on the number of mail-in requests you can submit.

For example, the Sweeps Rules at Funzpoints read as follows (bold text added for emphasis):

“Each mail-in entry must be sent in one mailed envelope per entry. Redemptions of mail-ins shall be limited to one redemption per 5 working day period.”

Comparatively, the Sweeps Rules at McLuck read as follows (bold text added for emphasis):

“There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes Coins request card per outer envelope. For each request that an Entrant submits, the Entrant will receive four (4) Sweepstakes Coins. Upon receipt of a conforming Request, four (4) Sweepstakes Coins will be added to the Entrant’s Account.”

The language at Funzpoints and McLuck makes clear that you can only submit one request per envelope. However, Funzpoints limits mail-in redemption requests to one every five days, while McLuck’s Sweeps Rules don’t specify a redemption maximum.

A couple of paragraphs later on the McLuck Sweepstakes Rules page, you’ll notice these two paragraphs (bold text added by us for emphasis):

Sweepstakes Coins requests must only be made by the Entrant. Requests made by any other individual or any entity, will be declared invalid and the Sweepstakes Coins will not be credited to the Entrant’s Account.

Tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to the use of any device to automate the Sweepstakes Coins request/entry process, is prohibited and any requests/entries deemed by Sponsor, at its sole discretion, to have been submitted in a non-conforming manner will be void.

In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted a request cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected request/entry will be deemed invalid.”

“The number of Sweepstakes Coins an Entrant has will be displayed in their User Account on the Site. The amount of Sweepstakes Coins to be allocated to Entrants can be changed at any time by the Sponsor at its sole discretion.”

What you’ll need to take away from this information is pretty simple, minus the legalese:

  • Using automation tools (such as an electronic pen) to create requests is prohibited.
  • Only you (the Entrant) are allowed to submit sweepstakes requests on your behalf. In other words, signing up for a Facebook group that does the work for you is against the rules.
  • McLuck is allowed to change the amount of SC you get at any point. This may include a limit on the number of cards you’re able to send, or a reduction in the value per request.

How to get a postal request code

Postal Request Codes aren’t necessary for all the sweepstakes casinos promoted here, but a majority of platforms require you to provide a unique, one-time request code for each letter.

This code is usually between 11 - 13 digits long and needs to be generated independently each time you write a new request.

Although Legendz makes you open your profile settings to generate new codes (screenshot shown below), you can usually find a link to do this in the Sweepstakes Rules for most sites.

Legendz amoe details

I’ll use Pulsz as a quick example. First, log into your account and open the Sweepstakes Rules. Scroll down to Section 3.2.10 – ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY – MAIL IN REQUEST. In subsection IV, you’ll notice a link to request your Sweepstakes Coins Request Code.

Pulsz amoe details

Click the link to open a new page:

Pulsz request code page

From here, click the pink “Request Code” button to generate a unique Sweepstakes Coins Request Code. Write your 13-digit code at the top-left of your Request Card, and be sure to generate a unique code for each mail-in request.

No matter where code request buttons are actually located on the website, you can find the instructions necessary to claim them in the Sweepstakes Rules. A link to the Sweepstakes Rules is often located at the website footer or nestled in the side menu.

Benefits of mailing envelopes for SCs

It takes time, energy, lots of patience, and precision to successfully submit mail-in requests at sweepstakes casinos. Still, the perks are worth your effort. I’ve covered a few benefits below:

  • Play games with no risk: So long as you complete KYC verification at your preferred sweeps casino, you can start writing mail-in requests today. There’s no need to spend money on anything but postage, making it the lowest-risk way to potentially win prizes.
  • Build up your SC balance: By law, sweepstakes casinos are required to accept SC mail-in requests from eligible players. While Chumba and Funzpoints restrict overall request volume on a daily/monthly basis, most sites let you send unlimited requests for a decent boost to your SC balance.
  • Try more than one casino: If you have the wherewithal to read and follow the specific rules at each site, you can submit mail-in requests at more than one sweeps casino to explore unique games (and potentially improve your chance of winning prizes).
  • Win and redeem SC for cash: No matter your preferred game type, the 11 casinos we’ve covered have it all. From live blackjack and roulette to classic slots and arcade games, you can submit mail-in requests to play them all for free and redeem prizes.

Sweepstakes casino envelope side hustle

If you try to treat sweepstakes envelope writing like a job, your account will eventually get banned. However, if you treat it like a side hustle, it can be a good way to boost your SC balance for free.

Sending thousands of requests per month isn’t the best idea for obvious reasons, but mailing out 100 or so letters is perfectly acceptable. Before you can redeem the SC you’ve earned for cash prizes, you have to spend it on games.

This is known as a “playthrough requirement,” and while most sweeps casinos impose a 1x wagering stipulation, you may have to meet 3x, 10x, or 20x wagering requirements at the site’s sole discretion.

To use a quick example, Pulsz has standard 1x wagering requirements on your coins. If you send five requests valued at 5 free SC a piece, you’ll have 25 bonus SC to play games with.

You’ll need to spend all 25 SC on slots, tables, or the like and redeem the winnings you get for cash prizes, rather than exchanging your Sweeps Coins for prizes outright. If you’re interested in finding sweepstakes casinos with the quickest redemptions, our team covers them here.

Average time for Sweep Coin drops

Most of the time, it takes around 6 - 8 weeks from the time you put letters in the mailbox to receive SC rewards. However, it can take significantly longer at mainstream sites, such as WOW Vegas, if their teams are backlogged.

I’ve personally waited a couple months to get SC credited to my account at WOW Vegas and H5C. Sweeps players on Reddit say much the same thing.

Unfortunately, a majority of sweeps casinos don’t provide set processing times for mail-in SC requests, so the information we have comes from word of mouth and personal experience. On that note, you can expect the following timeframes from these established platforms:

Sweepstakes casinoTimeframe
Chumba Casino 12 - 24 hours because requests are submitted online, rather than by mail
Hello Millions 4 - 12 weeks
High 5 Casino (H5C) 8 - 12 weeks
WOW Vegas 8 - 12 weeks
McLuck 8 - 12 weeks
Crown Coins 4 - 6 weeks

Common issues and tips for successful requests

If you want to collect SC ad infinitum without spending a dollar on anything but stamps, pens, and envelopes, hard work can boost your coin balance from zero to hero in 8 - 12 weeks. I’ve covered a handful of important tips that can help make sure your efforts don’t go to waste:

  1. Follow instructions to the letter

Even something as simple as using the wrong color of pen ink can render your requests null and void. Before you start writing and sending, be sure to carefully read the instructions and double-check your work.
  2. Send requests to the right address

While not all sweeps casinos accept players from both the US and Canada, WOW Vegas and Fortune Wins do. Depending on whether you’re in the US or Canada, you’ll need to send your requests to a different address.
  3. Write statements exactly as worded

Most players trip up by adding an unnecessary comma, period, or capital letter when writing the sweepstakes declaration statement on their requests. Check for spelling errors and include any quotation marks on your card.
  4. If you make a mistake, use white-out

It’s common and incredibly frustrating to make simple mistakes when writing out your requests, but that doesn’t mean you have to start from scratch. Instead, use white-out to cover mistakes and write over them. Never cross out misspelled words.
  5. Make sure your details match

Most sweepstakes casinos require you to complete KYC verification before requesting SC by mail. When you write requests, make sure your personal details (name, birthday, address, et cetera) match your ID card exactly.
  6. Use a 4” x 6” blank card and a stamped #10 envelope

Without exception, you will need to include exactly one request card per stamped #10 envelope. While not all sweepstakes casinos stipulate the size of your request card, go with a blank 4” x 6” index card or piece of paper cut to length, just to be safe.
  7. Double-check the Request Code

Again, a handful of sweepstakes casinos don’t require you to include a unique, one-time Request Code with your submission. Still, those that do require careful evaluation. Double-check the number before you seal envelopes and send them out.
  8. Be mindful of mailing speeds

Some casinos, such as Hello Millions and McLuck, require that all envelopes reach their destination within 25 days of you generating a Request Code. If they get there late, your request will be denied (even if it’s perfect).

Important information about submitting your envelopes

  • One entry per envelope: If you plan to submit multiple requests, make sure you only include one entry per envelope. Trying to stuff more than one request card into a single envelope will render all of them invalid.
  • Make sure your handwriting is legible: It pays to take a little extra time and make sure your writing is legible for each request. If the team can’t understand your penmanship, all requests will be denied.
  • Check for updates regularly: Sweepstakes casinos regularly change the terms and conditions necessary to submit mail-in requests. This may be something as simple as a change in permitted ink colors or as drastic as a change in address or request format. Check the Sweepstakes Rules at your preferred casino for the latest updates and info.

So long as you follow rules exactly as they’re written, you can claim free SC with a bit of hard work and assistance from the USPS. If you don’t notice your SC after a few weeks, it doesn’t hurt to email customer support and ask where your request might have gone.

Yes, to an extent, you can create something of a “side hustle” by writing envelopes. The trick is that you’ll need to follow directions very carefully and abide by any limits that are stated in the rules – for example, at Chumba, you’re restricted to claiming a max of 5 free SC per day.

No, influencers definitely don’t have the answers you’re looking for. You can find totally free and up-to-date information about how to submit mail-in requests by checking the Sweeps Rules at your preferred site, so there’s no need to look on social media for directions.

Rule 5.7 prohibits players from redeeming more than 25 SC ($25) if the coins they used to win cash prizes were obtained for free. This rule applies to mail-in requests, but not GC purchases. Keep in mind that Rule 5.7 is applied at the discretion of SweepShark’s financial department.
